FAQ's

Where do I park?

Great question. We have 12 acres of FREE parking for you that is right behind the Festhalle/Biergarten off Academy Street. Park close to the festival and then enjoy the complimentary shuttle up to Humpert Park. Shuttles run from 6:30am-8:45am.

From Hwy 214 turn East on Academy St. Parking is approximately 400 Academy St, (follow the signs). Shuttles run approx. every 10 minutes.

How do I get back to my car after the run?

If you park and ride the shuttle, it's only a short walk to Oktoberfest. Head South on Alder Street and turn Right on College.  Head past the church and visit the car show, then enjoy some food booths and your free beer.  Access the parking on Cleveland Street behind the Weingarten and Biergarten.

There is NO return shuttle after the race.

Can I have a stroller in the race?

Only in the 5k.  Strollers are allowed in the 5k event only.  We ask that you start at the back to allow runners to clear the road first.  The 5k course is partially closed to vehicle traffic, but please exercise caution.

Can I run with my dog/cat/goat?

While we love our furry friends, we ask that they not be out on the course.  We have participants who are allergic to pets and with all the participants, it causes too much stress for your furry friend.  If you can't leave them at home, we ask that you please keep them to the North end of the park behind the big tent.

FAQ's

Is there a kid's run?

There is not a kid's run, but we encourage kid's to run with parents in the 5k.  The course is partially closed to traffic for safety.

Where do we get our beer and pint glass?

After the event, head downtown to the Prostgarten located behind the Glockenspiel at the corner of College Street and Garfield Street.

The Prostgarten opens at 11am.

Saalfeld Park is home to the Prostgarten. You will need your bib number to pick up your custom pint glass and complimentary beer.

Need Coffee?

We will have coffee available at the race start from 6:45am until 10am.
